Over the past month, I have been giving a series of lectures and presentations in Europe. The principal organizing event was four lectures in four weeks at the Bologna Center of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
These lectures examine the evolution of US military, economic, diplomatic and security presence in the Persian Gulf from World War II to the present. They are divided into four parts:
October 21, 2010 “America Over the Horizon”
October 28, 2010 “The Iranian Revolution and Hostage Crisis”
November 4, 2010 “The Strategy of Preemptive War”
November 11, 2010 “Strategic Realities and Options in the Persian Gulf Today”
The audio of these talks and the discussions that followed are available on the website of the Bologna Center at the above internet address.
Note: These are also being produced as podcasts and can be found on iTunes as completed.
